Nothing Returns. Everything Rearranges.
Fusion of contemporary dance and aerial harness work. Choreography Irena Wiktor

Drift
A slow drifting apart.
Centimetres.
Breath.
Friction.
Fault
Not a great explosion.
A single shift.
And suddenly,
everything is different.
Sediment
The dust settles.
People remain.
A new landscape emerges.
Not better.
Not worse.
New.
Something new emerges. Mountains never return to their
former shape. Continents never move back to where they
once were. After an earthquake, the world isn't repaired. It
is rewritten. Nothing returns. Everything rearranges..
Dust suspended in the light, and bodies learning how to
exist within a new landscape. It is a metaphor not only for
geology, but also for memory, and identity, relationships.
